Services for equity, from raising funds to executions

Conference in French

Fundraising, business angels, VC… these and other revenue streams are hot topics for discussion at the moment. If your early stage start-up (or scale-up) has the right product, the right people and a bright start, it’s easier than ever before to get the funding you need. But what happens to those entrepreneurs who are just starting out and don’t yet have a technical partner? What can you do when money isn’t always the answer (or, when your start-up isn’t ready to receive funding?) With a new generation of professionals looking for direction, influence and purpose, and a new generation of businesses who are willing to give them a shot, it’s no wonder that services for equity is starting to trend again. So, what can we expect in the next few years? Which innovative businesses should we be keeping an eye on? How will the services for equity model develop — and what challenges will it face? In this talk, I’ll outline how services for equity works, what factors will help or hinder its growth, and how we can expect it to evolve — all while looking at a few case studies in IT and wider media.
