Hemp and its derived products: a new vector of growth in France

Hemp is a legal variety of cannabis that contains less than 0.2 percent of THC and has been grown in France for thousands of years. CBD is a molecule derived from the hemp flower that enables the creation of products for well-being (cosmetics, food, sprays, etc.) and medical purposes. CBD is legal, does not cause euphoric effects, and the WHO has determined that CBD is not a risk for public health. The market for CBD products is growing fast and will go from 1 billion euros in 2018 to 22 billion euros in 2022.
