A web app to govern them all, with PWAs (progressive web apps)

Up until now, Progressive Web Apps have enabled developers to make a single app that can be used across all OS’ and devices (from iOS to Android, Windows, MacOS etc.) However, with the arrival of Trusted Web Activities at the start of this year, developers could start to deploy PWAs on the Google Play store. Apple wasn’t far behind, either, with the latest version of iOS improving PWA support across their platform. In this talk, we’ll discuss the possibilities (and limitations) of Progressive Web Apps, as well as the latest developments and deployments of the technology. We’ll also look at some examples of PWAs in action, and teach you how to develop your own PWA by using mobile’s native features.
