CSS 2019: 23 years later, the war continues…

23 years ago, on November 17th 1996, we welcomed CSS1 into the world. The developers at the time couldn’t have estimated the havoc that it would wreak on the internet — and any developers in its wake — over the following years. After all, many have fought and perished in the battle to be top dog in the world of style: UI Kits, micro-libraries, pre-processors, post-processors, BEM/ITCSS/OOCSS, CSS modules, functional CSS, CSS-in-JS… We’ll put all of these tools under the microscope, see what they bring to web development 2019, and afterwards, we might just see a few allegiances shift…
